I'm 9 years old. My favorite color is hot pink. I started this blog because I really wanted to make cards. I saw Mommy do it all the time and it looked pretty fun. My mom told me I could have my very own blog and I'm so excited that I did it! It's all because of Mommy <3

Craft Your Passion Kids' Challenge #2

My mom just discovered the new Craft Your Passion Kids' Challenge blog - just for us kids!  If you want to join in you have one whole month to participate.  The challenge is to make something with RED which is my favorite color so it wasn't hard at all!  I used the geranium digi stamp from Hambo Stamps and colored it with my Bic markers along with patterned papers from Doodle Pantry.  I wanted a fancy oval, so I used one from Spellbinders that my mom made for me using her Big Shot.  I hope you like it!

Hippo Card

I really like this card because it has all of these good colors that come together.  I matched the paper with it and added a little patterned paper.  The image and sentiment are from my friend Paulette at Create with TLC.  I hope you like it, too!

Kaylie's First YouTube Video

I just had the idea of making a video because I always play that in my bed before I sleep and I wanted to share it with you.  The story is about a pony sale like in one of my favorite books My Secret Unicorn: The Magic Spell.  I hope you like it!

Tou Can Play

Paulette at Create with TLC asked *ME* to be a guest designer for her!  Can you believe it?  I was so happy and excited.  She let me pick out any image from her store and I picked Tou Can Play.  To see my card and a little write-up about me at Paulette's blog, just click here!

I started by coloring the toucan with my Bic markers.  Then, I chose which Spellbinders Nestabilities I wanted to use to cut out the sentiment.  After that, I went into Mommy's box of scraps to select the patterned paper and the cardstock.  After I tested all the papers out, I thought there was a little something missing so I added the pink heart using a Fiskars punch.  Once I was happy with the what I had, I used adhesive to put it all together.  I really, really hope you like it!

Thank you, Paulette, for choosing me to be a guest designer!

Have a Sweet Day, Cupcake!

I chose this cupcake from Beccy's Place to use on my card because it looks so cute.  I colored the image with Bic markers and made sure that all the colors went together.  The sentiment from Create with TLC went perfectly with it.  All the paper I used was from Mommy's scrap stash.  Since I chose birthday patterned paper, I thought this would make a great birthday card.  After finishing, I thought it needed a little something more, so I added the stars.  This was the other card I made at JoAnn's in Grapevine, TX with Linda Mitchell.

The Flying Heart

I call this Meljen's Designs image "the flying heart."  When I get excited, I flap my arms and hop up and down.  My mommy says I look like I could take off just like this "flying heart." All the papers came from Mommy's scrap stash.  The sentiment is from Scrap-a-licious Times.  I made this card at JoAnn's in Grapevine, TX with Linda Mitchell, another Operation Write Home card maker.  Thanks for inviting me, Linda.  I had a DINO-MITE time!

Lucky Ladybugs

The ladybug image is from Designed 2 Delight and the sentiment is from TLC Creations.  I colored the ladybugs as the life cycle of a ladybugs shell using Bic markers.  The jewel in the center of the flower is from Martha Stewart.  The hearts were made with a Fiskars punch.  The paper is from Mommy's stash.  Hope you like it!

TLC Creations Contest for Kids

Paulette over at TLC Creations is hosting her first ever contest for kids like me who like to color and make cards!  I hope she does this again because my mom is always entering contests and I'd like to be able to enter, too.

I colored the card with Bic Markers and then used Martha Stewart gems and googly eyes to finish it.  I hope you like it, Paulette.  Oh, I'm 8 years old, so I'm entering this card in the 6-10 year olds category.

The Summer Card

This image is from Designed 2 Delight and the sentiment is from TLC Creations.  When I found the image and the sentiment, I thought they went together very well.  I colored it the best colors I can.  I tested it out to see if it matched.  Then, I was ready to decorate.  I picked out some nice colors of cardstock that went with the colors I used for the image.  I thought this was a very unique card because it had a pinch of this and a pinch of that.  I hope all of you like it!

My First Hambo Stamps Cards

For the ice cream man stamp, I colored it with colors that matched and blended in.  I outlined almost everything with yellow.  I put Mommy's favorite paper as the line in the middle.  I didn't have room at the bottom for the sentiment, so I put it at the top.  After I finished, I thought something was missing, so I added hearts.
For the Hero Bird stamp, I made colors that really pop out this time.  For the line of paper going down, I chose paper that matches the feathers and the medal.  For the line of paper that goes across, I chose something that looks like a lot of colors that match.  I outlined it with a nice pink.  Then I put pink with dots for the background.  When I glued it all together, I thought it was pretty good and so did my mom and dad.

My First OWH Card

Thanks for visiting me!  This is my first OWH card made all by myself and my first ever blog post on my fantastic new blog.

Mommy made a special box for kids and grown-ups to donate AnyHero cards at her Operation We R Grateful events in July.  I saw the box and read the sign on top of it.  It looked so fun that I decided to do it right away.  It was very fun.  I used some of my stickers and I used a stamp.  The others I just drew.
